A bed that lets the room shine.
Ulrich Pape - his alter ego is called PA:UL - grew up in Paris, studied product and transport design and was head of design at Peter Haimerl Architektur. The architect's bed was created from twelve years and over 50 architectural projects.
The idea is reduction: a fitted sheet covers frame and slats, the floor stays visible – the room appears larger and the bed becomes a sculpture. SCHWERELOS is mounted on the wall and rests on a central foot; IN BALANCE balances on a block of natural stone that doubles as storage and counterweight. Load capacity: 150 kg at each corner.
It is manufactured in Germany and Austria, by partner companies from joint architectural projects. You can try out Möbelwerk – see for yourself.
