gazzda-dedo-lounge-chair
Dedo Lounge Chair

Dedo is a lounge chair that commands the space around it: a sculptural, fully visible solid wood frame, whose woven ropes form a floating base for loose cushions. The frame speaks for itself. Oak or walnut, combined with fabric or leather cushions. Available as a Lounge Chair, Easy Chair and Footstool.

Dedo is an armchair that is noticed from the other side of the room. Its solid wood frame with rounded, flowing joints remains completely exposed and looks sculptural – whether someone is sitting in it or not.

When the frame was first completed during development, it already stood on its own as an object. Traditional upholstery would have hidden it. Instead, ropes were stretched across the frame: a floating, slightly flexible base that carries loose cushions and leaves every curve and joint visible. The contrast between taut rope and soft cushion is intentional – it gives Dedo its tension and makes the construction part of the experience.

The frame is made of solid European oak or walnut; the flowing transitions between the parts are shaped by hand with a router. The cushions are loose, removable and filled for a relaxed, deep seating experience. They are available in numerous fabrics and leathers from the Gazzda material collection.

Salih Teskeredžić designed Dedo in 2015 as Gazzda's first lounge chair. The name means "Grandfather" in Bosnian – after the memory of sitting back and watching the world. That is exactly what this armchair is made for.

Product information

Design
Salih Teskeredzic

Product data sheet
Download product data sheet »

Delivered assembled

Material & Care

Frame
The frame of Dedo is made of solid oak.
